Actions Change Everything

Internal Struggle

When you act upon your struggle it no longer is a struggle but a choice. ~ Pj

Actions change everything and always have consequences. Being tempted by sin, great or small, is not sin… acting on the temptation makes it sin. There is always a crossroad in life… there is always a seesaw in life… which path will you choose, which side will you ride.

“I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.  This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” Deuteronomy 30:18-20 (NIV)

“Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:14-15 (NIV)

  1. Wow. That’s a really intense picture – a good representation of the way that sin entangles us and what it feels like when we try to get away. Although it may figuratively rip our flesh open to break free, it’s amazing to see how God sends His ministers to attend to us immediately upon breaking away to soothe the wounds and give us strength we need to heal and move on. I can say that you’ve been one of those ministers in my life.
